Hermione Granger is my favorite character in Harry Potter's world. This doll was originally regular Barbie - she got new hair, face and elbow joints. Her outfit is based on pictures from HP and Prisoner of Azkaban. Adult Hermione, perhaps?|
Next will be Draco Malfoy...:-))
I would like to thank Alison from Starfire Phoenix and Maggie from Padawan's
Guide for publishing of their wonderfull research, tutorials and pictures.
- Robes with hood are entire lined (sleeves, hood and lappets in dark red, the rest in black), on the left side of the robes is Gryffindor crest painted with acryllic colours.
Sweater has V-shaped neck, on the cuffs and the bottom trim are fine stripes in Gryffindor colours, embroiderd with chain stitch. Tie is of the same colours.
- The doll has white, long sleeved shirt with little breast pocket. The back part consists of the yoke and the part with central box pleat.
Wrap skirt fastens front with 2 snaps. There are 3 box pleats and 1 knife pleat.
To the uniform belong also black stockings and a sharpened, painted toothpick as the wand.
- For the robes I used a black polyester; the lining is from a black and dark red habotai;
the sweater I made from a part of an worn out male knitted pyjamas.
The shirt is from white cotton battiste, the tie is from yellow/red stripped habotai.
- The skirt I sewed from a fine charcoal wool cloth.
