Three-part
outfit for 16" doll by Tonner (Tyler Wentworth, Brenda Starr).
You can see this costume in episode "Jaynestown";
the original costume is red-blue, but therefore I couldn't
find red-blue brocade, I had to use purple instead red colour. My
friend Petra helped me significantly - she hemmed the bottom edge
of the skirt with her overlock sewing machine.
- The circular skirt has a front slit up to mid-tighs, is a bit gathered at
waist and closes back with a little snap.
- The wrap dress is made from 2 finished (lined) pieces (front right+ back
right and front left + back left pieces) they are stitched together at back and
fasten at waist with hooks and eyes. The sleeves are rhomboid-shaped with
cut-out armhole, and the tip is weightened with a metallic bead and tassel. They
are attached to dress with only a few stitches on shoulders. The neckline is
embellished with braids of dark blue beads and with stripes of
"Fortuny pleated" chiffon.
- The wide, stiff belt fastens with snaps on side, and the rope, ending with
tassels, wraps around it. The outfít complement black leatjer sandals and
necklace.
