Three-part
costume for regular 12" Barbie. Miela
is an assistant of the disgusting twi'lek senator Orn Free Taa of
planet Ryloth. Twi'lek women are known for their beauty and grace,
but only a few of them reach important position - as Jedi Aayla
Secura or Miela. One of rare images of Miela.
Ladies on Force.net recently had discussed about making of twi'lek
dolls, and when I obtained a Barbie with a "permanent makeup",
which I was not able to clean, I decided to make one twi'lek doll
too.
The
whole hard plastic body and the head tails (which were sculpted
from Milliput on wire skeletons) were painted red with matt enamel
for plastic models by Revell and sealed with matt varnish by
Humbrol. The face was painted with acrylic colours and sealed wit
matt acrylic varnish. (Well, matt - then why the face on the
pictures glistens like dog's eyes?)
- The sleeveless dress has godet insets from the hips,
closed on the back with hooks and eyes, and it is lined only to
hips. The five-part collar connects with the dress a
beaded necklace on the front, the back parts of the collar are
stitched directly to the dress
- The black lined cloak is of 3/4 ecliptic shape and attachs to
the dress on shoulders with little snaps.
- Under the dress is the black blouse with long (ehm...), narrow
sleeves and red lining. It fastens back with snaps.
- The outfit complement crocheted the "Mary-Jane"
shoes with the leather soles, the grey tights and the white leather headband with
the badge (sculpted from two-part epoxy putty by Tamyia and then
painted with a metallic enamel).
