Two-part dress for 12" doll - before customization it was Xena by ToyBiz.
This doll is more muscular than Barbie, she was rerooted, repainted and her neck
was made longer.
- The 7-part princess dress has round, low neckline, is lined and closes
back with hooks and eyes. The wide sleeves have 2 seams, they are gathered
at the wrist with elastic thread.
- The tabard is stiffen with woven interlining, and trimmed with four
rows of fine cotton tea-dyed lace. It fastens with miniature hooks and
thread eyes on the right side of doll's neck and shoulder.
- For the necklace I used 2 silver chains, the medallions are sculpted from
2-part epoxy putty (Tamyia). The necklace is attached to the tabard with two
tiny wire loops on the back side of the smaller medallions.
- The shoes are embellished with the lace, they lace up on the inner
side of the feet. The miniature eyelets I purchased from
Tinyzippers. The heel is formed from the epoxy putty, and the sole is from
brown leather
