Rose DeWitt-Bukater

elevator dress

Rose De Witt-Bukater from Titanic - elevator dress OOAK doll

This  is probably the least known costume from Rose's wardrobe - a few blurry images exists and a very  good page with images and observations of Franklin Mint's Rose doll  by Jenny LaFleur.

Description
  • The white hand-pleated tunic consists from 2-part bodice and th skirt above knee length. I used a nylon chiffon to get permanent  pleats. The front pleats are stitched. The neckline is embellished with a fine lace,a black velvet band and a red chiffon rosette. The tunic   fastens back with little snaps.

  • To the white battiste underdress is attached  a  pleated  ruffle from black habotai. The underdress is partially machine sewn and also  fastens back with little snaps.

  • Between the underdress and the tunic is the sheer camisole with lace trimmed sleeves.

  • The tunic is tghten with the black chiffon belt, embroidered with a black metallic thread and beaded with black beads of two sizes.
To the outfit belong also the sheer black shawl with fringes and the black gloves

I am very sorry, but I have not any good pattern for this dress.
