Shamsa
|
Shamsa, from Arabic ash-shams, means "sun". This oriental-looking caftan is
result of monthly challenge from doll discussion forum on
www.dama.cz . This time we
had to
"sew something yellow!" Yellow is not my favourite colour, but I had some yellow
fabrics at home a took the challenge. The dress is inspired by a costume of
Inara Serra from Firefly TV series and fashion designs by Thea Parker The caftan for 16" Tyler Wentworth is A-shaped and fastens back with a zipper. The front top is covered with a yellow organza, chenille trims, embroidered and beaded. The bottoms of the brocade parts is weighten with lead beads to hang down nicely. |
